As a Canadian living in the US for the next two years, the upcoming election does affect me. (Especially with San Diego’s proximity to the border, I hope no wall will be built…) Since I am not able to vote, I thought I might as well dress for the occasion. While America votes, i’ll be at home voting for wine. 

My Election Top

Since I don’t have a say in this election (and would preferably like to stay out of political arguments on the street), I thought I should wear a statement that everyone can agree on. I picked up this “Vote Vino” top at target. Target is honestly the best place to pick up seasonal stuff. They had multiple different election themed tees, however I loved this nice diffuser around a touchy topic. The tee is by Fifth Sun and is a very soft and comfortable.

My Shoes

To finish off my look, I wore these Hot-Mess sneakers from Circus by Sam Edelman. I thought they matched the American patch boyfriend jeans I got on clearance at Cotton On, while still speaking everyone’s minds from the past 595 days.
