California Coral: Triangl Chloe Review

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a slight huge obsession with bathing suits. While my collection keeps growing in size and brands, I tend to find my way back to Triangl. The Australian brand has been coming out with so many new beautiful designs, it’s almost hard to remember their original style. I currently have 4 Triangl suits (and hopefully growing), but I still always pack my classic Chloe suit.

Triangl Chloe Review: Style

There is nothing more classic than a triangle top halter bikini. What makes the Triangl Chloe unique for me is the black pipping (which was Triangl’s signature). It adds a pop against both the colour of the suit and your skin. As a very fair skinned person, I usually shy away from corals and light pinks. The black helps make the suit not blend into my skin. I purchased this suit in the colour California Coral, and I love the shade. It is a nice light pink, without looking too Barbie. When wet, it becomes a really nice neon coral. My only complaint style-wise would be the metal blocks on the end of the top strings. While they look cute, you always need to move them when you sit so they do not dig into your skin.

Triangl Review: Cut and Material

Having a smaller bust, I have difficulty finding a triangle top that is flattering. The Triangl Chloe top is one piece, unlike most triangle tops that are “adjustable”. This makes for no bunching, and no excess fabric (that makes it look like you’re stealing your older sister’s bathing suit). The cut of the bottom is also great. It offers full bum coverage while still being slightly cheeky.  All Triangl suits are made of neoprene. I personally like this material, as its feels secure and opaque while swimming. There are no issues as far as light-coloured suit transparency when wet. The thick material also prevents the terrible wedgie from happening to your bottoms. Others have commented that it takes a while to dry. I actually find the opposite to be true. It dries more thoroughly, reducing the time spent instagramming on a lounger in a soggy suit.

Triangl Review: Fit

I purchased both Triangl Chloe top and bottom in size XS. I am size 24 jeans for reference. The bottoms should fit a bit snug, as the stretch in the material is the only thing keeping them up. The online chat on Triangl’s website is very helpful in suggesting the right size. They will also let you know how the sizes of this style compares to others. I own three different styles and there are noticeable changes between them.

This suit is the perfect companion to any trip. It’s no wonder why I also own this suit in Miami Mint. (It is slightly ironic that I was only looking at grad schools in Miami and California… Subliminal message perhaps?) Another major bonus is that it is small to pack (unlike some of the super padded push-up tops). Just remember to keep it flat in your suitcase.
