When the Kenzo x H&M collection was revealed, I wasn’t all that interested in the beginning. I am not the biggest fan of animal prints. However, the bright and bold prints managed to finally grab my attention. Along with the sleeveless dress, I also managed to pick up is this off-the-shoulder blouse. As far as the tops of the Kenzo Collab go, I found this to be the most fun while still being wearable. While it is an off the shoulder blouse, it can also be worn covering your shoulders. That makes this piece very versatile. Thankfully I am in architecture which allows for creativity in clothing. I don’t think most people could get away with this at the office. 

Details

This top makes every penny worth it in the details. The pleats are very feminine, contrasting from the loud print. The mix of prints is nice in the trim and accents. I love the addition of the bell sleeves. It’s a nice detail that really takes this blouse over the top.

How I Styled

I decided to keep with the pleats and wore simple pleated black skirt. There was a matching long skirt in the same print as part of the Kenzo collab. However if you would wear both at the same time, I think you’d kind of look like a flamenco dancer (unless that’s what you’re going for.) I love pairing off-the-shoulder blouses with chokers. I kept it simple and used a black ribbon. Keeping with the bright colours, I wore my Kate Spade cupcake crossbody purse that I picked up this weekend at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets.

Fit & Price

This blouse runs slightly larger than regular H&M merchandise. I purchased a size 2. While it was not big, it was not the usual fit of H&M. The only downside to this top (like most off-the-shoulders) is that is sometimes likes to ride up. I found this piece to be very well priced, especially in comparison to the price points of other pieces in the collection. It feels high quality in the details and material.
